SALES ASSOCIATE - NATIONWIDE

The Sales Associate position is a professional developmental role allowing the Company to increase and foster professional business relationships while allowing the Associate the opportunity to learn about our products and sales processes with the potential for advancement to a commissioned Sales Representative, or Clincal Applications Specialist position.   
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting in the attainment of sales objectives by knowing our product and the market place, building trust and fulfilling customer needs.
  • Promoting TEI Biosciences and our SurgiMend products appropriately and effectively by learning to become a “subject matter expert” on such products.
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality relationships with key medical centers, hospitals, surgeons, nurses, Operating Room (OR) technicians and other hospital/health care staff including OR Directors, purchasing/procurement professionals and other appropriate staff members.
  • Understanding and identifying customers’ needs and requirements and providing timely feedback to the Regional Director and/or Sales Representative.
  • Maintaining a high level of proficiency in product support issues, current medical literature, surgical techniques and product applications.
  • Recommending and participating in trade conventions, sales meetings, symposia and training as required.
  • Offering suggestions for product improvements, opportunities and advancements based upon customer feedback and market direction.
  • Learning all appropriate sales techniques and procedures as well as developing in depth product knowledge to potentially fill a Sales Representative role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Appropriate degree and/or certification in Surgical Technology, Nursing, Physician’s Assistant, or Paramedic discipline.
  • Direct experience in an Operating Room environment including a working knowledge of OR practices, protocols, procedures and systems. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and enhance key relationships.
  • High energy level with the willingness and ability to learn and a professional drive to succeed.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and in writing, including in person, over the phone and via e-mail.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites, trade shows and/or regional meetings via car, airplane or other common carriers.
  • Must be able to pass customer/hospital required TB, drug, vaccination screening and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business, technology and professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write and create reports, presentations and business correspondence.
  • Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw and present valid conclusions.
  • Able to work with all necessary computer hardware and software applications.
  • Ability to foster and maintain cooperative team building relationships with customers and all company personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
  • Perform all duties in a professional manner.
  • Able to see to read fine print,  to communicate using a telephone and in person and mobility to allow access to all necessary parts of customer sites and surgical spaces.
  • Able to stand and sit for hours at a time,  to withstand the sight of blood and surgical procedures and be willing and able to utilize the necessary computer, internet and telecommunication functions.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

  • Consistently achieve established Company and Departmental goals while meeting all quality requirements.
  • Consistently support all clients and services effectively by retaining existing customers and helping support the acquisition of new ones.
